Three Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senators have decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
They are Senator Amos Yohanna, representing Adamawa North, his counterpart from Adamawa Central, Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, as well as the Senator representing Zamfara Central, Senator Ikra Aliyu Bilbis, joined the wave of defections to the ruling party.
The three Senators told through their letter to the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, that they were leaving the PDP owing to the ongoing division at the party’s national level.
They, however, expressed gratitude to their former party for providing the platform that allowed them to represent their constituents in the Senate.
The trio followed Senator Ipalibo Banigo, representing Rivers West, who defected to the APC on Tuesday.
The PDP is now left with only 14 Senators in the upper chamber following this defection.
