Some newly elected national executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday, visited the Senate Chief Whip in his Aso Rock, Abuja residence.
The visitors were led by the National Secretary of the PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, alongside other officials of the party.
Anyanwu was welcomed by Kalu’s associates, who led him to meet the lawmaker.
After exchanging pleasantries, both men proceeded for an indoor meeting.
Kalu represents Abia North at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
Kalu, a founding member of the PDP and governor of Abia State, formally joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, In 2016.
He contested and won the 2019 Senatorial election.
The report said other executives of the party arrived in turns at Kalu’s residence to join the meeting as it progresses.
