Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has failed to acquire the National Chairman position of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), just as he threatened to seek legal redress in court.
Lamido, a former governor of Jigawa State had announced on his Facebook page Monday morning that he would be at the Wadata House National Headquarters of the PDP by 11 am to pick the nomination form.
Lamido, who expressed dissatisfaction with the development, told journalists in front of his supporters, that he was ready for the contest of the chairmanship of the party at the November 15th and 16th elective National Convention slated for Ibadan, Oyo State.
He said he would go to the court if he failed to get the form.
“By the grace of God, I shall today, Monday, 27th October 2025, by 11 a.m., be at Wadata Plaza, the national headquarters of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to purchase the nomination form to run for the office of National Chairman,” he wrote.
Former governors of Kano and Kaduna, Ibrahim Shekarau and Ahmed Makarfi, who had indicated interest to contest the PDP number one seat, have endorsed former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, for the chairmanship position.
