A former PDP deputy national chairman (South) and Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo, is dead.
He died on Friday after protected illness in Ibadan, Oyo state, family sources said.
His remains would be laid to rest on Friday in accordance with Islamic rites.
Adeojo was a founding member of the PDP and served as the party’s Deputy National Chairman (South).
He was PDP governorship candidate in 1999, but lost to Lam Adesina of the Alliance Democracy.
Beyond his political exploits, Chief Adeojo was also a respected voice within the community, known for his philanthropic gestures and deep-rooted influence in both business and religious circles.
He is survived by many children, among whom is Sheriff Adeojo, the current Chairman of Ido Local Government Area in Oyo State.
