The management of Plateau State Polytechnic, Heipang, Barkin Ladi local government area, has said its students were not among those kidnapped in an incident near the institution Wednesday night.
Three female students of the school were reportedly kidnapped when gunmen stormed a private hostel at about 7:45 pm.
However, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Matthew Dokotri told journalists on Thursday that the affected persons, two girls and a man, were not students of the school.
“Even our students did not know what happened, they are writing their exams, the campus is flourishing well with academic activities. The DPO said the investigation is ongoing, maybe more details will come later,” he said.
