Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Osun Governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke has won 17 local government areas in the state and secured the highest number of votes in the election.
According to the results announced at the INEC Collation Centre in Osogbo, Senator Adeleke won in 17 Local Government Areas.
APC candidate and incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola, won in 13 LGAs.
It was learned that INEC officials are rounding off the collation with a view to announcing the final results.
Professor Kunle Ajayi, who is the Supervising INEC National Commissioner, has assured that the exercise would not be declared inconclusive like it happened in 2018 election.
Mr Ajayi declared this after demonstrators besieged INEC office to demand that the exercise be concluded on first ballot.
