The National Association of Jukun-Wanu (NAJUWA) has faulted the Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom over his comments that the present administration is insincere in tackling insecurity in the country.
Ortom had on Wednesday in Makurdi while addressing the media shortly after recovering from COVID-19, told President Muhammadu Buhari to be serious and sincere in handling the challenge.
(NAJUWA) in a statement by its Secretary General, Nuhu Adagba, said what could be more of insecurity than how Ortom “is mistreating, marginalizing and depriving the Jukun of Benue State of their rights and privileges using the state power.”
The association said Ortom, since assuming office, has compounded the plights of the Jukun in the state rather than giving them succour.
NAJUWA said the governor should do for the Jukun what he is tasking Buhari’s government to do for Nigeria.
