Benue State political appointees eyeing various positions in the 2023 general elections have been banned from campaigning.
The state governor, Samuel Ortom, on Wednesday gave the order, saying that anybody found to be campaigning either for himself or him will be removed,
Ortom warned that no appointee should be involved in any campaign “so that we can focus on governance.
“I’m not interested in any future elections for now. Likewise I have decided to ban campaigns for all those in my government interested in 2023 elections.”
