The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on Wednesday met President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over the brewing ethnic crisis in the South West.
The meeting was held behind close, an aide to the monarch told journalists after the meeting that the monarch informed the president of the position of South west leaders on the activities of the herdsmen.
There have been clashes between herders and some people in the South West, leading to the death of some Fulani and destruction of their property.
“They also discussed other important national issues. Kabiesi will give details later,” he said.
