Bandits have launched a fresh attack in Banono settlement under Angwaku Community in Kufana Chiefdom of Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
During the attack on Tuesday around 10:00 p.m., they killed a villager and abducted eight others mostly women.
The deceased, identified as Christopher Zamani, and another woman sustained serious injuries.
Mary Isah, the injured, has been taken to the Nasara Maternity clinic at Maraban Kajuru for medical attention.
Mr. Stephen Makori, Overseer of Kufana District, confirmed the incident, stating that the bandits raided numerous residential houses, looting valuable properties, money, foodstuffs, and two motorcycles.
Police Public Relations Officer ASP Mansir Hassan is yet to reply a message sent to him seeking clarification as his phone line failed to connect.
