The attack occurred during Tahajjud (night prayers) at Layin Bilya, Makwa Road, Rigasa, when a group of armed hoodlums stormed the mosque.
The assailants stabbed 23-year-old Usman Mohammad with a sharp knife. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment but was later pronounced dead by doctors.
