Senator Iyiola Omisore joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday.
The former deputy governor of Osun State from 1999 to 2003, registered at his polling unit in ward 6, Moore, Ile-Ife.
Omisore, who reportedly had a meeting with Ahmed Bola Tinubu recently was accompanied to the registration unit by the incumbent deputy governor of Osun state Benedict Alabi to pick the APC membership card.
He ran for governorship of Osun on the platform of the PDP and he lost the 9 August 2014 guber election to Rauf Aregbesola who was the incumbent Governor
Once facing trial, Omisore won election into the Senate on the platform of the PDP where he served from 2003 to 2009.
