The International Olympic Committee has published its Playbook, which guides athletes on what to expect during this summer’s rescheduled games; athletes will be expected to take a coronavirus test 72 hours prior to their departure to Tokyo.
Athletes will be tested at least once every four days as part of the International Olympic Committee’s quest to keep coronavirus at bay at
the rearranged Tokyo Games.
“Tokyo is the best-prepared city we have ever seen. Venues were all completed a while ago and the planning was well in place and extremely detailed at the time, we had to postpone the Games,” IOC sports director Christophe Dubi said.
