A former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, has emerged as running mate to the Labour Party (LP)’s presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi.
Okupe, according to the arrangement, is expected to serve as a place holder in a move to meet the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) June 17 deadline.
Okupe this when he appeared on Channels Television programme, Politics Today on Friday.
He said, “I’m standing in as the vice-presidential candidate of the party.
“Labour party has submitted my name as the VP of the party.”
