Seasoned tactician Edwin Okon returns to the team he led to the African title in 2014 as well as the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup, Nigerian Football Federation confirmed.
Okon is currently the head coach of Rivers United.
In the 2015 Fifa Women World Cup, Super Falcons crashed out of the preliminary round after failing to get past Sweden, the United States of America and Australia in Group D.
After the world cup he was replaced by Christopher Danjuma.
He will now serve as the chief scout to Randy Waldrum’s team, while coach Justin Madugu is given the new first assistant coach, and Ann Chiejine will serve as a second assistant coach.
