A former permanent secretary in Ogun State, Adefemi Egbeoluwa, and his wife, Oluwafunmilayo, have been found dead in their Allen Avenue residence, in the Ikeja area of Lagos State.
Both husband and wife were at home with their domestic worker on the day of the governorship and state House of Assembly elections when some unknown persons stormed the apartment and killed them.
After killing the, the suspects was said to have attacked the domestic worker, beat her into coma, and then fled.
Neighbours who heard of the incident, rushed to the premises to ascertain the condition of the victims.
Some reported the case to the police.
A neighbour who doesn’t want to be identified said the housemaid was immediately taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where she is on admission.
The neighbour said “the housemaid is currently receiving treatment. We learnt that the police found a machete, plank of wood, one nose mask, a touch light, and one ID card at the victims’ residence.”
The state Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, said the domestic worker is still alive, adding investigation is actively ongoing.
