Some personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) are reported missing when gunmen attacked them at an outpost in Ibrahim Leteh village along Wawa–Lumma road in Borgu LGA of Niger State.
The bandits who came in large numbers at 4am on Tuesday, fired at the security personnel, forcing some of them to scamper for their lives.
The attackers reportedly stole some rifles belonging to the civil defence officers.
The spokesperson for the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abubakar Rabiu, said, “We heard a similar report but investigation is still ongoing because until now we cannot establish the extent of what really happened. So, our commandant will speak after the investigation.”
