A bus conveying players of Bauchi Wikki Tourists football club to Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, for the Nigeria Professional Football League for a match against Dakkada FC, on Thursday went up in flame along Hawan-Kibo road in Plateau State.
The club member Damala Ezekiel revealed on his twitter page on Thursday that there were no casualties from the incident that happened around 8am in the morning.
He said the incident happened when the luxury bus conveying the players went up in flames after two of its tyres burst while the vehicle was on high speed.
‘Just before the vehicle was engulfed by fire the players had got out. Nobody was injured” Ezikiel said.
