Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has firmly shut down rumours suggesting gradually growing political fallout between him and his mentor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Gove Abba declared that their bond remains unshaken.
Speaking at an event to celebrate the 69th birthday of the former governor at his Miller Road residence in Kano, Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his total allegiance and commitment to Kwankwaso, describing him as a divinely ordained leader whose guidance continues to positively shape his administration.
“Those trying to sow discord between me and our leader, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, are wasting their time. Our relationship is built on loyalty, respect, and shared vision,” he said.
He further vowed to uphold the principles of the Kwankwasiyya movement, stressing that his government will continue to operate within the ideology of service, discipline, and empowerment championed by Kwankwaso for the best of Kano state
The governor also offered prayers for the NNPP national leader, wishing him long life, wisdom, and strength to continue mentoring the next generation of leaders for a better Kano state and a better Nigeria at large.
It can be recalled that there were series of speculations about a supposed rift that had emerged recently following the formation of a pressure group allegedly named “Abba Tsaya da Kafarka” (Abba Stand on Your Feet), the group was said to be led by former top government officials. The group was rumoured to be pushing for Governor Yusuf’s political independence from Kwankwaso.
