- The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has boasted that no amount of political gang up would stop President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, flanked by other opposition leaders including a former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai; former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, and many others, on Thursday in Abuja, accused President Tinubu of badly handling governance issues in the country including the declaration of state of emergency in Rivers State.
Atiku said they had formed a new coalition to wrest power from Tinubu in 2027.
Ganduje, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment, Chief Oliver Okpala, said, “No amount of political arrangement or gang up can stop the good people of Nigeria from re – electing Tinubu as President in 2027.”
He said, “Tinubu will surely emerge victorious because of his untrammelled performance since he assumed office as President of Nigeria.
“Forget the recent political gatherings and rantings from some politicians who presently does not have any identifiable political base.
“There gathering from Labour Party to PDP to SDP and others are people with different political ideologies and selfish political interests that can never agree on any issue politically.”
