The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has said reports that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, offered him bribe to influence the appointment of a sole administrator of the NDDC was fake and “marred by evincing contradictions, figment of imagination, sheer fabrications and filthy assumptions of mischief makers and detractors.”
The minister said this in a statement by his media aide, Dr. Umar Jibrilu Gwandu, on Friday.
He challenged those accusing him of receiving bribes to name persons who facilitated and delivered the purported bribe.
Malami said that any discerning mind that read the story would not fail to note the desperate attempt to cast aspersion on him and dent his hard earned reputation with unsubstantiated allegations spread by perfidious elements.
