The Nigerian Air Force took delivery of the first batch of six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft from the United States.
The aircraft were delivered to the NAF on Thursday, according to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet.
He said the aircraft arrived Kano at about 12.34 p.m.
Gabkwet said Minister of Defence, retired Major.-Gen. Bashir Magashi; Chief of Army Staff, Lt.- Gen. Faruk Yahaya; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao received the aircraft in Kano.
