Nigeria has taken delivery of critical military supplies from the United States as part of bilateral security cooperation between both countries.
The delivery was confirmed by the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), which announced this on X on Tuesday.
AFRICOM, which is responsible for US military operations on the continent, said the supplies were handed over to Nigeria in Abuja.
“U.S. forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja. This delivery supports Nigeria’s ongoing operations and emphasizes our shared security partnership,” AFRICOM stated.
AFRICOM did not disclose the specific nature and quantity of the military supplies delivered.
