Nigeria on Friday recorded 662 new coronavirus infection, bringing the total of infections in the country to 150,908
It also recorded 10 death, raising the total fatalities in the country to 1,813.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this on its official website on Friday.
The NCDC said the new figure was reported from 23 states.
Since the start of the second wave of COVID-19 last December, Nigeria has recorded more cases of the virus.
An average of over 1,000 cases have been reported daily since the beginning of 2021.
Nearly half of Nigeria’s total infections were recorded this year with about 65,000 infections reported since January 1, 2021.
