Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 22 deaths from coronavirus across the country.
This brings the total number of deaths to 1,544, since the disease broke out in the country in February 2020.
The latest update by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed that the country recorded 1,861 new cases on Wednesday, a sharp increase from the 1,303 on Tuesday. This raised the total infections in the country to 126,160.
A total of 100, 365 people have so far been discharged across the country.
