Clubs will be divided into divisions, and at least 14 games would be guaranteed each season, according to a new manifesto released on Thursday. Clubs are expected to compete in both the European Super League and their respective domestic competitions. Nearly 50 European clubs and stakeholders have reportedly been contacted since October, according to Super League organizers A22, which bills itself as the firm “established to sponsor and help” the establishment of the league.
“Share the conclusion that the entire foundation of European football is under attack, and it is time for change,” the “great majority” is reported to believe. CEO of A22 Bernd Reichart stated: “Clubs carry all entrepreneurial risks but are frequently forced to watch as important decisions are made when their financial and sporting underpinnings are crumbling.
