The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has advised students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria have been called upon to register with political parties of their choice so they can contest for political positions in future elections.
The student leaders made the appeal in a statement on Wednesday by the state chairmen of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), Damilola Kehinde and Oluwagbemileke Ogunrombi, respectively.
The union said students have roles to play in the development of the country, the need to ensure the right person is voted for, adding that students should stop being defensive and “be ready to take the bull by the horns.”
