Famous Hausa Tiktoker Murja Ibrahim Kunya will know her fate on May 20, 2025 after being accused of Naira abuse.
Justice Simon Amobeda of the Federal High Court Kano adjourned conviction and sentencing of Murja Ibrahimi Kunya, to the slated date.
It can be recalled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, in a suit number FHC/KN/CS/ 18/2025, preferred a one-count charge against the Tiktoker, accusing her of spraying and dancing on naira notes amounting to ₦400,000, while partying at Tahir Guest Palace Hotel in Kano last year.
However, Murja pleaded guilty to the charge.
While in court, prosecution counsel Musa Isa sought to amend the one-count charge even when the court has fixed Tuesday for conviction and sentencing.
Counsel to Murja Abubakar Saka objected to the application, saying it is an attempt to arrest the judgement of the court.
He argued that his client needs to understand the amended charges urging the court to give her time before she takes her plea.
Justice Amobeda granted the application for the amended charges to be read to the defendant.
