Kannywood actress, Maryam Yahaya, has revealed that her sickness has nothing to do with being bewitched by her colleagues in the industry.
Recently, reports have it that Ms Yahaya, one of Kannywood popular young actresses, has been spiritually attacked and critically ill. Some of the reports also stated that the actress has lost her life due to an unknown sickness.
The reports says the sickness is spiritual because doctors couldn’t diagnose the ailment yet after admitting the actress for weeks.
However, it was gathered that due to the viral reports, the Executive Director, Kano State Films and Censorship Board Ismail Na’Abba Afakallah, led a team to visit Maryam in her house.
Afakallah told newsmen that people should be verifying their reports adding that what the actress is undergoing is a normal sickness from God, it has nothing to do with her colleagues in Kannywood.
It was also reported by a Hausa online Magazine ‘FIM’ that the actress is fast recovering from her sickness. She told the magazine that she is equally human and liable to be sick just like any other person.
“My sickness is from God, I am not bewitched by any one as speculated in the social media. I am living in harmony with all my colleagues and I am not suspecting anyone of that. I am human and I can fall sick at any time, as you can see I am recovering and God will surely heal me,” she said.
