Twitter Inc has closed two of its three operations in India, according to Bloomberg News, citing people familiar with the situation.
According to the article, the social network business closed offices in New Delhi and Mumbai but continues to maintain an office in the southern tech city of Bengaluru, which primarily houses engineers.
According to Bloomberg, Twitter dismissed more than 90% of its employees in India last year, under new owner Elon Musk.
Last month, the business ordered at least a dozen further job cuts in its Dublin and Singapore offices as part of broader cost-cutting measures implemented by Twitter in early November, which resulted in the layoff of approximately 3,700 employees.
Twitter did not react immediately to Reuters’ request for comment.
