Bandits have kidnapped the mother of Kano State House of Assembly member (Gezawa, APC), Isiyaku Ali-Danja.
The assailants abducted the lady at her residence in Gezawa town around 1am on Wednesday.
The lawmaker, who was once a speaker in the House, said the gunmen first asked his mother to open the door but she refused.
The kidnappers broke the door and took her away.
Mr Ali-Danja said police were alerted when the kidnappers left.
The legislator said the bandits are yet to contact him or other members of his family.
