Mercy Johnson-Okojie, a Nollywood actress, has spoken up about a cancer scare that led to her being put on lifelong medicine by her physicians.
While interviewing seasoned actress Joke Silva on her cookery show, Mercy’s Menu, which debuted on Thursday, she revealed the disclosure.
The actress also disclosed that she underwent surgery to remove her thyroid, a throat gland, and that this required lifelong adherence to a strict drug regimen.
The actress described the time when she and her husband, Odi Okojie, dealt with the circumstance.
“I’ve never talked about it where I had a cancer scare and had my thyroid removed,” Mercy admitted. For us, it resembled a journey. My youngest child, who was with us at the time, was six months old.

Silva had previously discussed with Okojie how she handled her husband, legendary actor Olu Jacobs, being diagnosed with dementia.
