Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle on Monday received COVID-19 vaccine with a call on the people to embrace the exercise.
21sr Century Chronicle learnt that the state government took delivery of 55, 920 doses of the Astrazeneca Vaccine.
A statement by Yusuf Idris Gusau, director general, media, public enlightenment and communications said Matawalle was administered the vaccine by the commissioner of health, Yahaya Mohammed Kanoma.
The governor assured the people that the vaccines have been certified by physicians and therefore safe.
He explained that the vaccines are free, adding that the state government will ensure total compliance with the COVID-19 protocol during the exercise.
