Manchester United advanced to first major final under Ole Gunnar Solskjær, after defeating Roma 8-5 on aggregate – despite a 3-2 defeat on the night.
Roma piled the pressure on from kick off, but De Gea pulled off a string of fine saves to keep the scores level.
Cavani then punished the hosts by lashing a one-on-one past Mirante. Roma managed to rattle the visitors in the second period though Dzeko and Cristante.
De Gea halted the comeback with some more excellent saves before Cavani killed the game off with an excellent header to make it 2-2.
Roma did secure some pride on the night though, as Zalewski’s late strike made it 3-2.
Nevertheless, Man U will comfortably progress to the Europa League final now.
