The Police Command in Ondo State says it has arrested one Johnson Daniel for allegedly stabbing an 18 year-old boy, Ariyo Amos Timilehin, to death in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of the state.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, made this known in a statement on Saturday in Akure.
Jimoh said preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was allegedly stabbed during an argument with Daniel (suspect) on March 6
“Timilehin was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo, where he was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor,” adding that the police have recovered the knife the suspect allegedly used in the attack, while the suspect has been arrested.
“The case has, since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation,” he said.
