Manchester City have been drawn against Club Leon of Mexico or Urawa Reds of Japan in the semi-finals of the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup.
The draw was made in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday afternoon. City, the reigning UEFA Champions League winners, will be strong favorites to win the tournament. However, they will face tough competition from the other teams involved, including Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, who have signed Karim Benzema, the reigning Ballon d’Or winner.
The semi-finals will be played on December 13 and 14, with the final taking place on December 18.
