Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has hosted a workshop titled “AI and Innovation: Transforming Modern Medical Practice for the Digital Future,” as part of its commitment to promoting innovation, digital transformation, and excellence in healthcare education.
The workshop was delivered by Fortress Global AI Resources Nigeria, a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) partner of the University. The event brought together academic staff, healthcare professionals, researchers, and students to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in modern medicine.
Speaking at the event, the President of MAAUN Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr emphasized the University’s commitment to embracing emerging technologies and strengthening collaborations that enhance teaching, research, and healthcare delivery. He noted that integrating artificial intelligence into medical education and clinical practice is essential for preparing healthcare professionals to meet the demands of the digital era.
Facilitators from Fortress Global AI Resources Nigeria highlighted the practical applications of AI in diagnostics, patient care, medical research, clinical decision-making, and hospital management. Participants also engaged in interactive discussions on the opportunities, ethical considerations, and future prospects of AI in healthcare.
