The death of Galadiman Kano Abbas Sanusi is a great loss to Kano state and Nigeria at large, the founder and President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has said.
Professor Gwarzo revealed this in a condolence message he personally signed and released on Wednesday.
He extended his condolences to the government and people of Kano State over the death of Mr Sanusi, who died on Tuesday at the age of 91.
He described the death of the elder statesman as a great loss not only to his immediate family but to the entire state and Nigeria at large.
Prof. Gwarzo also extended his deepest condolences to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Kano Emirate Council over the great loss.
“On behalf of the management of MAAUN Group of Universities, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Kano Emirate Council.
“The death of Galadiman Kano, our father, is a great loss not only to his immediate family, but to Kano state, and Nigeria at large in view of the significant role he played in the development of Kano Emirate, Kano State and the entire Northern region,” he said.
While praying to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, Prof. Gwarzo prayed that God would give his family, associates and the entire Kano Emirate the fortitude to bear the great loss.
