The Founder and President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has donated a Hilux Toyota vehicle to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Kano (NWUK) in support of the university’s administration.
The donation was made during a courtesy visit by the Vice Chancellor of Northwest University Kano, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, and members of the University’s Management and Governing Council to Professor Gwarzo in Abuja on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
During the engagement, Professor Gwarzo offered valuable advice to the University Management on strategies for accelerating growth and enhancing the University’s profile. In a remarkable gesture of goodwill, he instantly pledged the donation of a Hilux vehicle to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor to support the administration’s activities.

Describing the visit as a family engagement, both parties acknowledged the longstanding cordial relationship between Northwest University Kano and MAAUN. The relationship is further strengthened by the fact that Professor Amina Salihi Bayero previously served at the MAAUN Kano Campus, while Professor Gwarzo remains a close friend and supporter of Northwest University Kano.
