Kano Pillars football club has been relocated from the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, to Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina State.
A statement issued by the Media Officer of the club, Rilwan Malikawa, on Friday in Kano, said the League Management Company gave the order.
The Media Officer said that the letter of relocation was signed by the Chief Operating Officer of the LMC, Alhaji Salihu Abubakar.
Malikawa quoted LMC as citing security challenges and encroachment unto the playing field during match with Rivers United football club in match day 16 at Kaduna as reason for the relocation.
He said said henceforth Kano Pillars football club would play their home matches at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina, beginning with a Day 17 match against Nasarawa United football club on Sunday.
Malikawa expressed appreciation to the Kaduna state Football Association, Kaduna SWAN and entire football family of Kaduna state for the support and cooperation given to them during their stay in Kaduna.
The Media Officer said they would get maximum support and cooperation from the government and good people of Katsina State for the success of the club throughout their stay in Katsina. (NAN)
