Governor Nasir El-Rufai has lost his poling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the ongoing local government elections in the state.
The opposition party defeated the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in both at the Chairmanship and Councillorship at the poling Unit unguwar Sarki Ward in Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state.
The elections result obtained showed that for the chairmanship PDP got 86 votes while the APC got 62 votes.
While for the Councilorship APC 53 and PDP got 100 votes as announced by the presiding Officer at the unit, Muhammad Sani.
Earlier, while casting his votes at the unit, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said his administration doesn’t believe in rigging and cheating.
He said he will not behave like other political parties or ruling state government by wining all.
He said the only way to get credible leaders is to allow people to vote for the candidates of their choice.
