A former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has expressed concern over deliberate silence of chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the south on recent happenings involving the Fulani herders.
Lamido told journalists in Kano that the silence of APC National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige and former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha have further increased the hatred against the Fulani.
He said the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, who is Fulani, has led to the “hatred” against the Fulani ethnic group, which peaked with the ultimatum issued in Oyo and Ondo states for them to leave.
Lamido said the Fulani are now endangered and persecuted and even sometimes referred to as aliens.
