Chief Magistrate A. B. Olagbegi-Adelabu has granted 38-year-old woman, Temitope Usidamen, who is standing trial for allegedly stealing N5,897,300.00, bail in N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Usidamen on Wednesday appeared before an Ikorodu Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State, charged with stealing to which she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, DSP Gbemileke Agoi, said the defendant committed the offence between Feb. 2015 and March 2023 at Baytod Nursery and Primary School, Yewa, Isawo in Owutu area of Ikorodu.
Agoi said the defendant stole N5,897,300.00 belonging to one Akin Oyemakinde.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, adding that Section 287 stipulates a three-year jail term for stealing if found guilty.
