The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Kwara North have attributed their endorsement of Dr. Bashir Bolarinwa as the party’s governorship candidate in the 2027 election, to his leadership record, competence, and compassion.
The stakeholders, under the auspices of Edu APC Progressives and Patigi APC Like-Minds, said that their position was because these were essential qualities required for the office in 2027.
Addressing a news conference on Thursday in Ilorin, a member of the group and former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Benjamin Yissa-Ezekiel, said Bolarinwa “is competent, compassionate, capable and has good track record in leadership”.
Yissa-Ezekiel said the governorship aspirant has the “trifecta of leadership, excellence” to lead the people of Kwara in the coming 2027 election.
Also speaking, the spokesperson for Patigi LGA, Hajia Fatima Gogata said the APC stalwarts were united in their endorsement of Bolarinwa.
“This is not an endorsement born out of sentiment. It is one rooted in proven competence, political experience, and unwavering loyalty to public services.
“At a defining moment in Kwara’s political evolution, his leadership as party chairman provided direction, unity and structure,” she said.
