Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the National Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa on Saturday met ahead of the defection of the later to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Monday.
Members of the Movement have been directed to accompany Kwankwaso to the ADC.
The meeting of both leaders took place at Atiku’s Abuja residence, details of which are scanty.
However, the former Vice President, in a post via his official X handle, said
Kwankwaso was on a courtesy visit and they both had a robust discussion on the state of the country.
Atiku, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, said “This evening, I received the former Governor of Kano State and the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), H.E Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on a courtesy visit. We had a robust discussion on the state of the nation.”
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that earlier before both leaders met,
the National Secretary of the ADC and former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, also met Kwankwaso at his Abuja residence.
Kwankwaso revealed this on his X page, but did not give the outcome of their discussions.
