Deputy House Minority Leader, Aliyu Sani Madaki, has taken the leader of Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to cleaners over the later’s declaration of January 23, 2026, as ”World Betrayer Day’.

Madaki, an estranged associate of Kwankwaso, who quit the NNPP in November 2024, no noted that Kwankwaso is the real betrayer.

Writing on his Facebook post in Hausa language, Madaki, who represents Dala Federal Constituency, said, “Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has declared 23/01/2026 as a date to be marked as the International Day of Betrayal.

“In my view, 23/02/2019 is the appropriate date to be designated the International Day of Betrayal.

“This was the same day Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso nominated candidates, whom he later abandoned because of an agreement with the APC.

“At the same time, he betrayed HE Atiku Abubakar to settle the scores over his defeat at the party’s primary election in Port Harcourt.”

Kwankwaso declares January 23 World Betrayal Day after Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who is said to be on his way to the All Progressives Congress (APC), announced his resignation from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), on January 23, 2026.
