The death toll from the Kogi tanker explosion has increased to 29, the chairman of Ankpa local government Abagwu Ibrahim has said.
A petrol tanker has exploded in Ankpa on Wednesday.
He disclosed this on Friday at the scene of the accident when he led state government delegation for on-the-spot-assessment.
The state government has declared that it would foot the medical bill of the injured who are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
This was revealed by the Chief of Staff to the state governor, Abdulkareem Mohammad Jamilu, at the scene of the explosion.
