Seventy hours after her abduction, kidnappers of Hajiya Halima Adamu, mother of the famous Hausa Singer, Dauda Adamu Rarara, were yet to make contacts with her son or any member of her family.
The abductors were yet to state their ransom as has been the practice if anyone ofr groups of persons were kidnapped.
Rarara too has kept quite despite all efforts to reach him as ta the time of this re[port.
Hajiya Hauwa’u was seized in the early hours of Friday in her residence in Kahutu village, Danja LGA and taken to an unknown location.
There is silence even as the police in the state said they have arrested two suspects in connection with the old woman’s kidnap.
According to an anonymous Kahutu villager “The bandits came on foot and silently because they did not fire a single shot during the operation that lasted for just a few minutes. The woman did not resist when the bandits requested her to go along with them.”
“Although the bandits met other people at the house, they only picked Rarara’s mother, leaving behind others. No attempt to confront the bandits while leaving the house because they were armed with guns”, the source said.
The Katsina State police said after the woam’s kidnapping, they have nabbed two suspects in connection with the abduction.
The Katsina state police spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, said on Friday evening, that the two suspects were being interrogated by the authorities.
