Kidnappers are asking for N250 million ransom to release a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), retired Major General Maharazu Tsiga.
This was revealed by a close family member on Saturday.
The former NYSC DG and nine other locals were kidnapped Thursday night in Tsiga, Bakori local government of Katsina state.
Over 100 gunmen stormed his residence and took him away.
The member representing Bakori/Danja federal constituency Katsina State, Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, said the attackers began to break doors when they arrived at the residence, this forcing Tsiga to come out and asked them what they were looking for.
