A kidnapper who once abducted his own father in Kogi state has been killed during a gun duel with security operatives in Olamaboro local government area of the state.
Olamaboro council chairman, Adejoh Friday Nicodemus, confirmed the incident, on Saturday.
He said the criminal, known for his notorious activities and had been on the wanted list of security agents in the state, once reportedly kidnapped his own father and collected a ransom of N4 million from his family.
Nicodemus said the security operatives also arrested another kidnapper, Kizito Ocheme alias Igbo, who operates between Olamaboro and Otukpa in Ogbadibo local government of Banue State.
He said the government’s efforts of ensuring the safety of lives and properties of citizens was yielding “good results as criminals now find Kogi as a no-go area.”
